Song Ji Hyo is positively lovely for ‘Yesse’

Song Ji Hyo set aside her tough and carefree image as the ‘Running Man‘ ‘Ace’ to become a lovely, feminine Ji Hyo that we don’t get to see too often these days.

The pictorial comes ahead of White Day (March 14th), which is a day that the boys give the girls candy in return for the sweets they received from the girls on Valentine’s Day. To match with the special day, the actress adorns feminine dresses and skirts, accessorized with bows, while she holds up props that remind us all to share the love.

This set of photos are actually from ‘Yesse‘s 2013 Spring collection and the actress perfectly pulls off the ‘romantic chic’ concept. The bright colors of the pictorial also highlight her cute charms making the “lovely” illustrations in the background seemingly unnecessary, given the obvious.

Yoo Jae Suk is satisfied with his current roster of programs?

With the recent ending of one of his longest-running programs, MBC‘s ‘Come to Play‘, one would think that the ‘nation’s MC’ would have a hankering for a new program to host. However, according to his acquaintances, Yoo Jae Suk has no plans to host another program in the near future, they said.

His current schedule has him filming ‘Running Man‘ on Mondays and Tuesdays, ‘Infinity Challenge‘ on Thursdays, and ‘Happy Together‘ on Saturdays. Since there is a day of rest between each filming, he is able to spend more time with his friends and family and remain better focused on his work, striking the perfect balance for the hardworking MC. Although proposals are streaming in from programs that hope to gain the ‘nation’s MC’, he has been reportedly turning them down.

However, that doesn’t mean he won’t ever try his hands at a new show. He didn’t rule out a possibility of returning to four weekly programs if an especially promising proposal or suggestion is made.

With delay comes anticipation, so all eyes are on the beloved MC to see if he’ll be able to work his magic on whatever show he may take up next.

Gary, ‘Running Man’s very own zombie?

The cast of SBS‘ ‘Running Man‘, who were whisked off to Hanoi for the episode that will be broadcast in the following weeks, shared a friendly snapshot while posing in the traditional Vietnamese attires.

Joined by their guests Lee Dong Wook and Han Hye Jin, the cast looked as friendly as ever, but the good-natured snapshot turned hilariously frightening when fans noticed Gary photobombing with his zombie-like expression that went unnoticed by the others in the front.

Viewers, who are already used to Gary’s hilarious antics on the show, found his zombie look rather endearing, leaving comments like, “Gary your zombie look is daebak“, “He is definitely full of charms”, and “Keke, Gary oppa, what are you doing by yourself?”

Who is Kim Jong Kook’s favorite travel partner?

As a popular singer and variety star, Kim Jong Kook has gone abroad quite a bit. While other people might prefer traveling with close friends or significant others, the muscular ‘mosquito voice’ has taken to bringing someone else on his foreign journeys.

From his former ‘X-Man‘ days to more recent concerts in Los Angeles or Singapore, in pretty much every foreign vacation he has taken, he was captured by fans bringing along his mother.

Although he doesn’t seem to have brought her along to his recent ‘Running Man‘ filming in Macau and Vietnam, perhaps it was for the best –  do you think she has ever witnessed the Commander’s fury?

Lee Kwang Soo becomes the new ‘Asia Prince’ on ‘Running Man’

Move over, Jang Geun SukLee Kwang Soo may have emerged as the new contender for the title of the ‘Asia Prince’, if the latest episode of ‘Running Man‘ is any indication.

This week’s episode featured the ‘Running Man’ cast making their way through the streets of Hanoi, and the first thing that the cast members noticed was the incredible popularity for the ‘betrayer giraffe’, Lee Kwang Soo, with fans chanting his name and supporting him in his missions.

“We better treat him well from now on,” Kim Jong Kook said. “He’s like the Jang Dong Gun of Vietnam.”

The producers also apparently couldn’t believe the ‘giraffe’ and his massive popularity so easily. They expressed their incredulity via captions, which questioned the following: “Is ‘Lee Kwang Soo’ an easy-to-pronounce name?” and “Does ‘Lee Kwang Soo’ mean something in Vietnamese?”

Fortunately for the ‘giraffe’, however, it looks like his fame is 100% real – until the Commander brings him back down to Earth, that is:

[Spoiler] Gary surprises viewers with his healthy habit on ‘Running Man’

Leessang‘s Gary displayed a surprising amount of hospitality on the latest episode of SBS‘ ‘Running Man.’

The episode showed Gary delicately cutting apples for Song Ji Hyo and Lee Kwang Soo, who had visited his hotel room in the morning before the missions began.

When Lee Kwang Soo asked him why he woke up so early, Gary answered, “I woke up because I went to sleep early. I usually like to wake up to have a morning apple“, casually biting into his apple.

Does anyone remember his ‘apple juice’ moment from Thailand? Also, who else was secretly disappointed that we didn’t get to see shirtless Gary this time around?

SBS trends high in ratings with recent dramas and variety programs

With a recent wave of high-quality dramas, variety shows, and general programming, Korean broadcast station SBS is celebrating their recent successes compared with their competition.

According to AGB Nielsen Korea, SBS’s weekly dramas are putting up a strong showing versus their often more-hyped competitors. Both of their weekday dramas have pushed out their competition to take the #1 spot in the living room, with the Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Queen of Ambition‘ (19.7%) triumphing over MBC‘s ‘The Horse Healer‘ (18.1%) and KBS‘s ‘Advertisement Genius Lee Tae Baek‘ (3.9%).

Perhaps most surprisingly of all, the station’s Wednesday-Thursday drama, ‘Wind Blows in Winter‘, has pushed aside the incredibly hyped ‘Iris 2‘ and ‘7th Grade Civil Servant‘ to take first place with recent ratings of 13.4%, versus 10.8% for ‘Iris 2′ and 12.5% for ’7th Grade Civil Servant’.

The news is even better on the variety front, where SBS is continuing their strong showing. On Mondays, ‘Healing Camp‘ is proving to be the top dog in the race, with its most recent rating of 10.7% trumping its competitors, KBS’s ‘Hello‘ and MBC’s ‘Talk Club Actors‘ (which is said to be on its way out).

On Tuesdays, SBS seems to have a solid start with its brand-new variety program, ‘Incarnation‘, featuring actress Kim Hee Sun, MC Shin Dong Yup, and Yoon Jong Shin. The first episode, aired on the 19th, recorded 8.4% in ratings, beating out its competitor, KBS’s ‘Moonlight Prince‘ (3.5%).

Laws of the Jungle 2‘, despite its controversy, maintains its strong grip on Fridays, handily beating out MBC’s ‘Birth of a Great Star 3‘ weekly. On Saturdays, ‘Star King‘ has finally caught up to its eternal rival, MBC’s ‘Infinity Challenge‘, with both variety shows scoring 13.7% in the past week.

With recent ratings of 16.7%, SBS’s ‘Good Sundayvariety block – ‘Running Man‘ and ‘K-Pop Star 2‘ – maintained its lead against KBS and MBC in the most competitive timeslot of them all, with KBS’s ‘Happy Sunday‘ (‘Qualifications of Men‘ and ‘1 Night 2 Days Season 2‘) scoring 13.0% and MBC’s ‘Dad, Where Are You Going‘ scoring 11.4%.

Even more encouragingly, SBS’s Sunday lineup will soon be buoyed by the addition of the other ‘nation’s MC’, Kang Ho Dong, leaving interested viewers to speculate on how the current playing field will change, if at all.

The head of SBS’s variety department, Lee Chang Tae, said ratings were merely the result of good programming. “We believe that our efforts in creating value-oriented variety programs and dramas have been accepted by the audience,” he said. “Although there were benefits from the long-term strikes that took place at our competition, it is the viewers who determine what to watch. In the end, viewers choose good programs.”

‘Running Man’s Kim Jong Kook and Lee Kwang Soo dish about their bromance

Everyone knows the predator-prey relationship of the ‘tiger’ and ’giraffe’of ‘Running Man‘, but just how close are the two in real life?

Kim Jong Kook and Lee Kwang Soo participated in a duet pictorial for ‘Cosmo Men‘, where they revealed their brotherly love, or bromance, extends off-screen even when not filming together.

Even though on-screen the two are always at each other’s throat, Lee Kwang Soo actually sees Kim Jong Kook as his most reliable hyung. He said, “Every time I met Kim Jong Kook for the past 3 years, I’ve never paid for our food. He’s a hyung who always takes care of even the smallest things. I trust him so much that to me, anything he says always seems right.

His love wasn’t one-sided at all. Kim Jong Kook brought out his sentimental side as he spoke about his dongseng, saying, “He’s the nicest and the most genuine and honest celebrity dongseng that I have ever met. If he has a good enough reason, I’m willing to even lend him hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Kang Ho Dong in talks to host a new program on SBS

Although his comeback hasn’t lived quite up to expectations in viewer ratings, Kang Ho Dong will be hoping to change that by joining the other slot of SBS’s ‘Good Sunday’ segment, which already includes the show ‘Running Man‘ headed by his rival, Yoo Jae Suk.

SM C&C revealed, “Kang Ho Dong has decided to feature in a new program. The name of the show and the format have not been decided upon as of yet. We are currently reviewing the specific details.”

Fans who have been flooding the internet with their requests for Kang Ho Dong’s return to ‘1N2D‘ may get a part of their wish fulfilled as the show rumored to be like ’1N2D’. Kang Ho Dong will also be teaming up with ‘Family Outing‘ PD Jang Hyuk Jae for the upcoming variety show, leaving fans waiting in excitement.

Once confirmed, Kang Ho Dong’s new variety show will premiere following ‘K-Pop Star 2‘. Once that happens, fans will get the best of both worlds as families can catch both of the ‘nation’s MCs’ Kang Ho Dong and Yoo Jae Suk every Sunday on SBS!

Is there a new love line in the making between Lee Dong Wook and Song Ji Hyo?

Lee Dong Wook, and Song Ji Hyo, who showed off great teamwork as part of the same team on ‘Running Man‘ on this past weekend’s episode, may soon find themselves embroiled in on-screen romance!

The two along with actress Yoon Jin Yi are in the finals stages of being cast for upcoming historical genre medical drama, ‘Mandate of Heaven‘.

Lee Dong Wook, once confirmed, will be playing the lead character, a Joseon dynasty doctor who is on the run after having been framed. He struggles to find the cure to save his daughter from an incurable disease. His partner to be there for him every step of the way will be none other than actress Song Ji Hyo, the female doctor assisting him. The two will be Yoon Jin Yi, who is in consideration to play the role of a daughter of the head of thieves.

Although the exact details of the synopsis haven’t been revealed, it’s suspected that the lead characters Lee Dong Wook and Song Ji Hyo will become the new love line viewers will want to watch out for! However, with Yoon Jin Yi also mentioned, it may be that we might even see a love triangle in the making.

As always, all sides have expressed that they have been approached and are looking at things optimistically but have not yet confirmed (which usually means that we will be seeing the three actors on the show!)

The drama ‘Mandate of Heaven’ will start airing mid-April after ‘Iris 2‘.

'Actor team' to face off against 'singer team' on 'Running Man' for a spy special - allkpop (blog)

Ahead of the reveal of this week's episode, 'Running Man' has revealed a few still cuts as well as details about the new episode airing this weekend!

HyunA, Hwang Jung Min, and Park Sung Woong were guests during the recent filming and teamed up with the cast members to form groups, 'actor team' vs. 'singer team', with each group having a spy from another team. The spy has to get information from the team to bring their own team to victory.

Even though they had to wait in the cold weather, all of the members participated actively in the entire episode. The weather was freezing and rainy, but everyone kept up their smiles and brightened the mood of the set.

This episode will be made especially entertaining as Lee Kwang Soo gets completely smitten by HyunA's charms, despite being on the opposite team, and he and Yoo Jae Suk display their 'dumb and dumber' characters as they are unable to understand how to carry out a part of a mission.

The episode will air on the 10th!

(Interview Part 2) 'Running Man' producer interviewed on producing for the show - allkpop (blog)

Last week, we published part 1 of an interview with the lead producer of 'Running Man', Cho Hyo Jin. Part 2 of his interview with OSEN was revealed earlier today; you can read it below. Make sure to catch up on part 1 if you haven't read it yet!

==========

In the beginning, you focused on landmarks. Why has that changed?

I felt that we were getting trapped in those landmarks while we tried to save them. For example, if we decided on a shopping mall, how many games can you build around a shopping mall? Thinking back, we had a tough time matching games to their locations. Nowadays, I feel that the places we go turns into landmarks. There's been a few times when that's happened; for example, I've heard that a museum we visited became famous after we visited it.

Characters, rather than landmarks, seem to be the primary focus now.

In a real variety program with natural settings, characters can be established pretty quickly. 'Family Outing' is an example of that. But with 'Running Man', it's a game variety program so we have to build the settings around the game rules. So character-building didn't come very quickly. But if we forced characters on people, the audience wouldn't have accepted that, so we struggled early on. These days, we've become much more free when it comes to games and created new settings like the supernatural, so different characters were able to develop.

I'm curious about how you're able to come up with so many games.

There's nothing new under the sky, and we basically make small changes to existing games. Thankfully, it comes across as new. To formulate a game, the scriptwriters have idea discussions six days a week, and we happen upon new ideas by chance. Even when we come across random objects in our lives, we think of ideas and write them down. In the case of the superpowers, we went to see a superpower movie and thought 'that could be a good idea for a story'.

The games themselves have improved, such as the spy mechanic.

I think that's the reason why we're able to keep the viewers' interest despite the repeating games. But it's very hard, since while we need to upgrade the games, we can't make them complicated. Sometimes when we take a look back at what we've created, it's too elaborate. The hardest part is balancing the difficulty. Since 'Running Man' caters to a wide audience, the more senior viewers and those who don't like games need to be taken into account as well. So we make games, then simplify them. But sometimes we get greedy and wish we can do something on a bigger scale.

Do you have many backup items?

We just film as they come in. Typically, we film two episodes' worth in one week. It's usually too much for just one team, so sometimes we're slotting in the final reel when the episode has already started being broadcast. We have a bigger team compared with other shows – seven scriptwriters, six producers, and more cameras – but this is what sometimes happens when we get greedy. (laughter)

It's a shame that we can't see more superpower episodes or rebirth episodes compared with their positive reaction.

We did many of them before, but nowadays expectations are high about these special episodes. We need to think of better ideas, and create several plans because so many things can change during filming due to many factors. It takes a lot of time, and that holds us back from doing them too often. But we do believe that larger-scale projects are good, so if the audience likes them we could look into doing more with courage. The ratings don't really change with these specials, but the reaction is usually positive. As long as we're trying new – and sometimes strange – things, it doesn't matter if it gets a little childish.

You don't call guests when you film a blockbuster-level episode.

For the larger-scale episodes, the focus is on the idea or the item. Because of that, we have to plan based on the specific characters of the members, so we prefer doing it with only the members. For example, in the superpower episode, we thought of different powers that would fit well with different people. For this to be possible, we have to know the people well. Our program is honestly one of the best when it comes to guest treatment, but we usually don't call them for these things because it lessens the pressure on the producers.

As the episodes keep coming, you're beginning to create your own 'Running Man' history – like the Choi Min Soo specials.

That's the good things about game programs, that we can do these series. If we have a series of ideas, we can connect the interesting parts, and as we begin to understand the know-how we can prepare for different situations. We can predict how well Choi Min Soo will be able to capture someone in a certain situation, and the members struggle within themselves to escape these situations.

Isn't running that much physically taxing?

The VJs have all improved their physiques. The members also work out regularly. Yoo Jae Suk, possibly because he trains with Kim Jong Kook, has a better body than most trainers. Kim Jong Kook once offered to come to the gym with me, but I'm too scared to go.

Is there a particular special you want to do?

If we could get basketball player Michael Jordan, I'd like to plan a superpower basketball episode. Couldn't it be possible someday?

Have you ever succeeded in attracting a guest you wanted for the show?

I really wanted to invite Park Ji Sung, and that happened last year. The same happened with Son Ye Jin. In her case, it was a personally important issue for me. (laughter)

Where is one place you'd like to film in?

Croatia seems particularly beautiful. I also dream of filming a race in the desert. Foreign productions often present new sights from domestic productions, so they're something I want. However, since they cost a lot and many things have to fall together, we can't do it too often. We planned on going abroad once late last year, but it fell through one week before we were supposed to leave. Both luck and opportunity have to come together for a foreign filming.

What kinds of laughs does 'Running Man' seek to create?

Basically, we want the viewers to let go of everything and laugh in peace. On top of that, it's a wish of mine as a producer that those laughs come from something special, possibly weird, something unique. I have fun producing 'Running Man' because of the reactions I receive when we broadcast something unique. I hope that the atmosphere changes in the future so that those kinds of laughter get accepted as part of the norm.

Produser Variety Show Running Man Berbicara Mengenai Para Anggota (2) - Sidomi News

Produser variety show Running Man, Cho Hyo Jin baru-baru ini diwawancara oleh sebuah situs berita Osen.

Dia memiliki fondasi variety show yang kuat.

'Running Man' producer interviewed on producing for the show + explains the ... - allkpop (blog)

SBS's flagship Sunday variety program, 'Running Man', is going through a renaissance period, bolstering its line of characters and inviting even more popular celebrities as its weekly guests.

Although the audience is only aware of what they can see through the television, much work goes on behind-the-scenes to making every episode happen. The lead producer of the popular variety show, Cho Hyo Jin, recently sat down with Osen for a short interview.

==========

You're currently in a ratings battle with '1 Night 2 Days'.

Honestly, I could care more about the ratings. If I cared that much, I would've changed the format of the show two and a half years ago. I don't look at the minute-by-minute graphs as well. Either the scriptwriters tell me "the ratings are out", or I get a text message from friends congratulating me on good ratings, and that's when I take a look.

You're in charge of SBS' flagship variety program. Isn't it a burden?

Of course it's a burden. I always try to not lose face and also have higher goals in mind. Among ourselves, the motto is "don't do anything that would embarrass us", especially among fellow workers in this field.

The show's been charged with being scripted, Gary had announced his departure, and your ratings were low. There must've been times when you felt frustrated.

I didn't really care. I don't read too many articles and don't go on the Internet often. I get easily hurt so I tend to avoid those kind of things. (laughter)

For important articles, I read them when my writers tell me I should. When I get calls from reporters and I answer, "I'll check up on it", it's not that I'm hiding, but I really don't know. Other than producing the program, I don't focus on much else, even the ratings. I just focus on producing something I can be proud of.

The show's been going on with the current cast for quite a while. Do you have any plans to change the cast or format?

If you're talking about the 'season' system, our concept changes every week so I don't know if it will be necessary. The members also think that there's still plenty to explore. For example, Ji Suk Jin's body gags were something that only came out recently. The members right now are all so good and we have plenty of guests, so I don't think there will be much trouble.

The show lost its 'face' after Song Joong Ki left. Do you have plans for a replacement?

Joong Ki was a member with such a good image, but at the time it was an unavoidable decision, so we parted with good feelings. Regardless of him, however, I liked the number seven. We could have two to three guests an episode, and in many ways, producing got easier when we had seven members. So I didn't really think of adding a new member.

As a producer, what are the best qualities of each of the cast members?

This is common knowledge, but Yoo Jae Suk has a soft charisma that he can lead the entire team with. He is also adept at pointing out the focus of the week's concept. When we plan a new item, he's the one saying "this is how we're supposed to do it". Thanks to that, it makes it easier for the audience to follow the show. The way he can point out the focal point or theme of an episode we've planned borders on genius.

Kim Jong Kook is the image of power that the show can't be without. In the upcoming episode with Choo Sung Hoon, the two of them get in a sparring match. He also acts as a 'counter partner' that the members can run to. All programs say they need an 'evil' role to be successful, but Kim Jong Kook isn't evil – he's more of an 'enemy' role. He also has his faults and isn't too strong, so that adds to his merit.

It makes me proud to see Song Ji Hyo holding her own among the male cast. She fits with the recent trend of favoring strong-willed women who don't pretend to be fragile. She doesn't hold herself as weak, is very quick on her feet, and is able to stand up against an enemy or a mission without a second thought.

I can hardly believe that it's only been two years since Lee Kwang Soo started variety. He learns things very quickly. He's also the youngest, so he gets a lot of love on the set because he treats his hyungs so well. The members are all playful with him and that shows up in the final product. He is also good at thinking outside the box, and acts as a sort of spice to the program. He has never been on a variety show before, but he shows remarkable growth. It was a good decision choosing him.

Gary was always known for having a quick-witted tongue. It's a relief that he's able to show that off on the program. Maybe it's because he's a lyricist, but he has a different way of talking, kind of like a poet. He doesn't look it, but he is surprisingly popular with the ladies. (laughter) Although you can't tell from the outside, he hides a lot of charm on the inside. He seems innocent, but is good at pick-up lines, and that's his true character.

Ji Suk Jin takes care of the younger ones behind the scenes very well. He's not hesitant about using his body, so despite his age he often provides a lot of body gags – even though his body doesn't listen to him. (laughter) It's not easy for the eldest member to do that kinds of things, so I'm very thankful towards him.

HaHa is someone who I can trust with anything. He has a very strong foundation. He understands how the producers want something to play out, and runs with it. Some of the qualities of Yoo Jae Suk I can also find in HaHa. He himself says he learned these traits from Yoo Jae Suk. He taught him well.

Are you a fan of 'Running Man', what is your favorite elements of the show? Are you happy with it's current renaissance?

PSY Rivals Threaten Girls' Generation on K-Pop Hot 100 - Billboard

Girls' Generation has logged another week at No. 1 with their genre-hopping comeback track "I Got A Boy." The girls rocketed to No. 1 last week's K-Pop Hot 100 chart and have held off stiff competition in a particularly competitive January.

The ladies of Girls' Generation (a.k.a. SNSD) are proving they deserve their No. 1. An official video of their Jan. 11 performance on "KBS Music Bank," a hit music show, begins with leader Taeyon and U.S.-born member Tiffany singing their "Lost In Love" duet. Later, the nine took the stage to perform "I Got A Boy" where they notably used no backing vocals. Many acts use back-up vocals at the beginning of a promotional period to let themselves get comfortable appearing on these high-profile programs, but SNSD going completely live so early is particularly impressive.

The song that almost snatched Girls' Generation's No. 1 position comes from comedian Jung Hyeong Don's "Gangbuk Dandy" at No. 2. The song comes from Korean TV station MBC's extremely-popular variety show "Infinity Challenge." Jung Hyeong Don ambitiously titled his track, "Gangbuk Dandy," as a rival to PSY's monster hit "Gangnam Style" (Gangbuk is on the opposite end of Gangnam). Similarly, "Gangbuk Dandy" is a club track with thumping beats and comical lyrics. Only live performances of the track exist, but should he decide to release a captivating music video, could Jung find himself with 2013's "Gangnam Style?"

INFINITE's two hip-hop enthusiast members, Dongwoo and Hoya, formed a sub-unit group, INFINITE H, releasing their first mini-album with debut single, "Special Girl" with the week's biggest debut at No. 6. Their album, "Fly High," boasts guest features by top names in the industry including Zion T, Baby Soul, Gaeko of Dynamic Duo with first single "Special Girl" featuring soulful R&B vocalist Bumkey. The melodic hip-hop number was composed and arranged by renowned producer Primary (known for hits like Dynamic Duo's "Without You," Billboard's No. 16 Best K-Pop Song of 2012) and written by promising underground rapper Beenzino.

Another "Infinity Challenge" contestant charted high this week; a very familiar face to music fans worldwide. Yoo Jae Suk, otherwise known as "the guy in the yellow suit" in the "Gangnam Style" music video, enters in at No. 10 this week with the futuristic, electro piece "Grasshopper World." The song is a feel-good track with hopeful lyrics that urge people to stop worrying and enjoy life.

[Spoiler] Song Ji Hyo makes a leap of faith on ‘Running Man’

Actress and ‘Running Man‘ cast member Song Ji Hyo displayed her fearlessness on the lastest episode of the variety program, which showed the cast and crew on a foreign expedition to the glitzy city of Macau.

Separated into three teams, they were given three missions to accomplish at Macau Tower, a local landmark, with each team member selecting from a variety of high-adrenaline missions such as bungee jumping and tower climbing.

Yoo Jae Suk, Lee Kwang Soo, and Song Ji Hyo elected to do the tower climb, where they would have to climb hundreds of feet to the very top of the tower, exposed to the elements.

While the two men were quaking in their boots, however, Song Ji Hyo expressed her boredom with the tower climb, eventually choosing to bungee jump instead.

As the highest bungee jump facility in the world, the jump had scared off most of the other team members. However, living up to her ‘ace’ designation on the show, Song Ji Hyo jumped without a second thought to cheers from the throng of onlookers below and gasps of shock from the cowardly cast.

Check out the full episode below [Song Ji Hyo's thrilling jump begins at approximately 13:00 in the second video]!

"This is all in the past, but when he first showed up on set, he said he didn't want to shoot for the music video. It was done against his will," he framed.

Noh Hong Chul didn't take this sitting down, however. "Didn't you say 'me too' at that time, as well?" he questioned, confirming that they were less than excited to shoot the video – at the time.

[Spoiler] Um Ji Won targets Yoo Jae Suk's masculinity on 'Running ...

The actress Um Ji Won tried to get out of a tight spot on the latest episode of 'Running Man' by threatening to target Yoo Jae Suk's, er, masculinity.

The final race involved a mission to secure as many chairs as possible. Since there were less chairs than the total number of cast members, fights inevitably broke out over which player would be able to take the chair for himself or herself.

During a particularly intense battle that unfolded between Um Ji Won, Yoo Jae Suk, and others, the actress shed her usual sweet personality by threatening, "I'll kick you in the central area! My foot is pointing directly there. I'll just kick it."

Despite this half-joking, half-realistic threat, the eventual winner of this coveted chair was Song Ji Hyo.

Psy reveals Yoo Jae Suk almost featured in “Gangnam Style” song

On the December 22nd episode of MBC's 'Infinity Challenge', Psy revealed Yoo Jae Suk was originally planned to feature in "Gangnam Style".

Noh Hong Chul mentioned, "Yoo Jae Suk hyung said he almost featured in 'Gangnam Style'." Psy responded jokingly, "It's true. It's a relief he didn't."

He continued, "To be honest, my 6th album was supposed to be a featuring special. Excluding 'Gangnam Style', the other 5 songs [on the album] all feature other artists. Yoon Do Hyun, Park Jung Hyun, Sung Si Kyung, G-Dragon, and Leessang's Gary featured. The reason [Yoo Jae Suk] declined my offer to feature is because of Sagging Snail. It would overlap with the song 'Room Nallari'."

Noh Hong Chul commented bluntly, "It didn't do well. It didn't explode as expected," causing laughter.

Psy explained, "[Yoo Jae Suk] didn't want to do the two songs at once. So I called Lee Juk hyung, and he [kept postponing it]. When I made the call, Jae Dong hyung was next to me and told me he would do it," revealing the behind-the-scenes story.

To make up for declining Psy's offer, Yoo Jae Suk appeared in the music video instead with Noh Hong Chul, who came along on set.
